> Bartok and Gray Join HALO Maritime Defense Systems as Advisory Board Members

HALO Maritime Defense Systems announced that two new members were appointed to the Board of Advisors today.

Kirsten Bartok is a Partner and Co-Founder of AirFinance Leasing LLC, a global aircraft leasing company focused on business jets.

Ms. Bartok previously served as the CFO of XOJET a private jet company based in San Francisco, CA that was sold to TPG in 2007. Kirsten was responsible for $3B+ of equity and debt financing.

Prior to joining XOJET full time in 2006, Ms. Bartok spent her entire career in private equity and finance, most recently as an Managing Director at Alpine Investors, the San Francisco based middle market private equity firm, where she led investments in the consumer and business process outsourcing and consumer spaces.

Before Alpine, Ms. Bartok was with JPMorgan Partners, the global private equity arm of JPMorgan Chase and began her career at Goldman, Sachs & Co., where she worked in both investment banking and fixed income capital markets.

Ms. Bartok received a BA in political science with honors (minor in economics) from the University of Pennsylvania where she was a Benjamin Franklin Scholar, and an MBA from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business. She is also a member of the Council of Foreign Relations and the Pacific Council on International Policy and was a Marshall Fellow.

Brendan Gray served with distinction for thirty years as a Naval Aviator; his last five years as the Deputy Commander and Chief Operating Officer for Navy Region Europe. Brendan was responsible for the security, force protection and the day to day operations of nine Navy bases across five countries in Europe, including the safe and efficient operation of seven ports and six airfields. He has built and led large complex organizations, developed and executed budgets in excess of $500 million dollars across 43 distinct programs. Brendan has extensive experience in forging international partnerships as well as team building within the Department of Defense and with industry.
