Inc. 5000 features NH companies with sizable gains

Twenty New Hampshire companies have been named to Inc. magazine’s list of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in America.

While that’s one company fewer than last year, New Hampshire companies grew substantially over the three years from 2016 to 2018, with more companies ranking higher in the list.

Akumina, a Nashua company that develops personalized digital employee platforms for customers including A+E Networks, experienced a whopping 2,475% growth over the past three years, with $4.4 million in revenue in 2018. Founded in 2011, it has 48 employees.

It was followed at No. 915 by RagingBull.com, an online trading educational tool based in Lee, which experienced 465% growth over the past three years and recorded $33.6 million in revenue in 2018. Founded in 2010, it has 40 employees.

Ranked among the top 2,000 fastest-growing firms were:

• PoliteMail Software, a Greenland-based company that provides email analytics and management tools to Microsoft Outlook and Exchange users, ranked No. 1112, with 375% three-year growth and $5.9 million in revenue in 2018. The company, founded in 2006, has 28 employees.

• National Energy & Light, a Nashua-based manufacturer of lighting and power control products for retailers, restaurants and supermarkets, ranked No. 1467 with 282% growth and $36.2 million in 2018  revenue. The company, founded in 2013, has 37 employees.

• Alkemy Partners Instruction and Design, an Amherst-based company that designs, builds and facilitates medical, market and sales training concepts for biotech and pharmaceutical companies, ranked No. 1646 with 251% three-year growth and $2.1 million in 2018 revenue. The company, founded in 2012, has five employees.

• HALO Maritime Defense Systems, a security firm in Newton that designs and manufacturers waterside physical barriers to protect maritime assets, ranked No. 1789 with 228% three-year growth and $8.4 million in 2018 revenue. Founded in 2008, the company has 14 employees.

• Saltwater Collective, a Portsmouth-based branding firm that offers animation and digital marketing services, ranked No. 1805 with 226% three-year growth and $9.1 million in revenue in 2018.  Founded in 2009, the company has 33 employees.

• SilverCloud, a Portsmouth software firm whose self-service platform is used by banking consumers and employees, ranked No. 1809 with 225% three-year growth and $6.9 million in 2018 revenue. Founded in 2005, the company has 54 employees.

Ranked among the top 3,000 fastest-growing firms were:

• The Bean Group, a Portsmouth-based real estate firm, ranked No. 3051 with 121% three-year growth and $49.4 million in 2018 revenue. Founded in 2003, the company has ranked eight times on the list since 2011. It has 22 full-time employees.

• Vital, a website design, digital marketing and branding firm based in Portsmouth, ranked No. 3359 with 107% three-year growth and $6.5 million in 2018 revenue. Founded in 2001, it has ranked five times on the list since 2015. Vital has 66 employees.

• Orion Entrance Control, a Laconia-based manufacturer of a variety of entry/access devices including turnstiles, door control software and door detection systems, ranked No. 3626 with 96% three-year growth and $9 million in 2018 revenue. Founded in 2009, it has 38 employees.

• Air Solutions & Balancing, an Auburn firm that performs certified independent testing and other services for the HVAC industry, ranked No. 3953 with 83% three-year growth and $9.3 million in 2018 revenue. Founded in 2002, it has 78 employees.

Ranked among the top 5,000 fastest-growing firms were:

• Everlasting Capital, a financial services firm that provides growth funding to small businesses, ranked No. 4349 with 70% three-year growth and $2.5 million in 2018 revenue. Founded in 2012, it has 15 employees.

• Right Height Manufacturing, a Manchester-based manufacturer of ergonomic desks, ranked No. 4522 with 65% three-year growth and $4.9 million in 2018 revenue. Founded in 1991, it has eight employees.

• Medicus Healthcare Solutions, a Windham-based provider of temporary and permanent staffing for healthcare providers, ranked No. 4713 with 60% three-year growth and $193.3 million in 2018 revenue. Founded in 2014, it has 310 employees.

• Netria Corporation, an Exeter-based company that helps businesses find current, constrained and discontinued hardware products, ranked No. 4916 with 55% three-year growth and $19.3 million in 2018 revenue. Founded in 2003, it has 35 employees.
